Details BARROW-UPON-TRENT TRENT AND MERSEY SK 32 NW CANAL 3/10000 Deep Dale Bridge No 17, off Deep Dale Lane at SK 3485 2923 - II Canal accommodation bridge. Late C18 with repairs. Red brick with stone coping. Single span with towpath and humped back. Segmental headed arch. Swept wings terminating in piers at all 4 corners. Repairs include voussoirs and parts of eastern elevation and piers. The Trent and Mersey Canal was built between 1766 and 1777 by James Brindley and Hugh Henshall.
