Details DYMOCK THE VILLAGE SO 73 SW (north side) 5/111 Smith monument, in the churchyard, about 4m west of south porch, Church of St. Mary GV II* Chest tomb. William Smith, died 1746. Stone. Flat lid, moulded edge; south side elaborate rococo decoration around inscription, with central head over. North side raised rectangular panel with scalloped corners, containing rococo decoration. Pilaster ends, rococo decoration to main face and returns. All on a moulded base. Later inscription to Thomas Commins, died 1780. A good and little weathered example of rococo work.
