Details DUKINFIELD THE CRESCENT SJ 99 NW 3/2 War Memorial G.V. II War memorial. c.1920. Ashlar sandstone with bronze figure. Life-size battle-clad figure stands on a tall square tapering shaft. Towards the top of the shaft are bay leaf wreaths on three sides and an armorial shield on the fourth with "To our noble dead" above and "Integrity" on a scroll below. Rolls of honour are attached to each side and a similar plaque on base for 1939-1945 war. Listing NGR: SJ9432097916 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 30 January 2017.
