Category B Date Added 30/01/1981 Local Authority Edinburgh Planning Authority Edinburgh Burgh Edinburgh NGR NT 11023 70693 Coordinates 311023, 670693 — Hugh Baird, circa 1820. Semi-circular bridge. Coursed sandstone with dressed voussoirs and soffit. Advanced keystone with 17 inscribed. Ashlar wallhead. Parapet railings, alternating between straight and curved posts. Railings terminated by octagonal piers with corniced capital. — The Edinburgh and Glasgow Union Canal was designed by Hugh Baird and built from 1818-22. Scheduled Monument.
