Roman bath houses in Britain

Aquae Sulis to Wroxeter — surviving Roman baths.

The Romans built thermal baths everywhere they settled, but only a handful in Britain survive in any meaningful state. Bath (Aquae Sulis) is the best-preserved with hot springs still flowing. Wroxeter has the largest free-standing Roman wall. Hadrian's Wall has bath houses at most major forts (Chesters is the best). There are also surprisingly intact remains at Beauport Park (Sussex), Lullingstone Roman Villa, and Bignor.
