Architect
Buildings designed by Robert Adam
Robert Adam (1728–1792) is the architect of Georgian neoclassicism. With his brothers, he designed the interiors of Kedleston Hall, Syon House, Osterley Park, Saltram, Kenwood and around 50 other country houses. The "Adam style" — slender pilasters, urns, swags, pastel colour schemes — defined late-18th-century British taste.
