Details URCHFONT WEDHAMPTON SU 05 NE (east side) 3/241 Wedhampton Manor 19.3.62 GV II House, mid C17, 1701, for Henry and Susanna Eyre, altered 1722. English bond brickwork on stone foundations, with stone raised flush quoins and dressings. Stone tiled roof. Two storeys, cellar and attics, 5 bays, with rear wing to left containing timber framed C17 structure, refaced in early C19. Central stair hall to C18 building with flanking reception rooms. Central bay broken forward with paned timber glazed doors in stone architrave, and broken and scrolled pediment on consoles. Twelve-paned sash windows over, all altered c1722, and earlier scheme with narrow side lights blocked. Side bays have 12-pane sashes with nearly flush boxes, segmental arches over ground floor windows. Dentilled eaves. Date and initials E/HS 1701 on hopper heads. Interior not seen. Said to have C17 panelling and front rooms with full C18 panelling and cornice.
