Heritage listing
Details War memorial unveiled 2nd November 1919. A wooden cross with gable, with a statue of a crucified Christ. This rests on a concrete block base bearing a brass plaque; the top of the plaque bears a crucifix, below which is the inscription: 'S. JOHN THE EVANGELIST. / ROLL OF HONOUR / 1914 - 1918'. Below this, in the two columns, are the names of the fallen. At the bottom of the plaque it reads: 'GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS. S JOHN X V. VERSE XIII'. The memorial stands in a small circular rockery. This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 07/03/2017 This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Online. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 23 November 2017.
