Category C Date Added 03/08/1971 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Parish Sanquhar NGR NS 87079 13098 Coordinates 287079, 613098 — Built 1848. Rectangular-plan 4-bay Gothic church. Whitewashed rubble and ashlar dressings; west gable harled. Pointed openings (windows hood-moulded) gabled porch at west end of north wall; vestry diagonally opposite; stepped buttresses; 3-light east gable window (west window blocked); saw-toothed skews; cross finials roofed with graded slates. Interior: (now partitioned, eastern half only used for services); pulpit with steps either side; leaded east window above by Wm. Meikle and Sons, Glasgow, 1911; painted dados; simple stencilling. — Ecclesiastical building in use as such. Repairs by Charles Howitt 1863; see SRO GD224/521/9 Owned by The Wanlockhead Museum Trust.
