Details TL 96 SE ELMSWELL CHURCH ROAD 5/27 Two monuments, 3m east of - the each chancel wall of Church of St John GV II Two headstones of limestone: the northernmost and larger to Mr Matthew M... (damaged), died 1695. A pair of skeletons on either side stand upon hourglases. A winged cherub face above an inscription in a cartouche. The second stone is partially buried: two skulls, palm fronds, a cherub's face and part of an inscription are visible.
