Details SU 09 NE DOWN AMPNEY DOWN AMPNEY VILLAGE 8/116 Thirteen monuments, including Kimber and Green, about 5-15m south-east of south-east corner of south transept in churchyard of Church of All Saints GV II Six chest tombs in 2 rows: to west - Elizabeth, died 1798, and John Green, died 1790; Kimber, died 1779; and one unidentified, probably late C18. To east - two unidentified, late C18. Row of 7 headstones between of late C18: from south to north - Alice King, 1784, Sarah Townsend, 1797; rest unidentified, 4 with cherub heads and cartouche in high relief. All limestone. All chests, flat top, with moulded plinth and capping. Pair of Green monuments on base, with quarter baluster corners and fielded panels. Kimber, immediately to south, with fielded sides and slightly projecting flanking pilaster strips, recessed ends.
