Details SD 7052-7152 SLAIDBURN CHAPEL STREET (NORTH SIDE) 17/72 War Memorial - GV II First World War memorial, after 1918. Sandstone ashlar and bronze. Comprises an octagonal pillar with moulded base and cap, mounted on an octagonal platform and surmounted by a cast statue of a soldier with a rifle. Plaques record the dead of Slaidburn, Dunsop and Newton. Listing NGR: SD7118652403 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 2 February 2017.
