Official information
Queen Elizabeth's Oak is an ancient tree located in Greenwich Park, believed to have been planted as far back as the 13th century. It has historical significance, with stories linking it to figures like King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I. The original tree fell during a storm in 1991, and a new oak was planted nearby in 1992 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession.
