Maritime Greenwich is the UNESCO World Heritage Site combining the Royal Observatory (1675, Christopher Wren — site of the Prime Meridian), the Queen's House (Inigo Jones, 1616 — England's first Palladian villa), the Old Royal Naval College (Wren and Hawksmoor, 1696, with the Painted Hall by Sir James Thornhill), the Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum. A full day's walk down from Greenwich Park to the Thames.
