Reason for designation: Well proportioned early C19 bridge in attractive village setting. History: Built 1822. The County Bridge Surveyor at the time was John Thomas. Exterior: 1822 small single-span bridge of squared rubble. Elliptical arch, dressed stone voussoirs. Flanking projecting full-height pilaster strips. Flat parapets, stone slab coping; chamfered copings to pilasters. Dated 1822 to coping of E parapet. Location: Situated at S end of Llansawel village, carrying the B4337 over River Melindwr.
