Details TL9734 922/27/10047 20-OCT-00 NAYLAND WITH WISSINGTON CHURCH STREET Nayland War Memorial GV II War memorial. c.1920. Rough- and smooth-tooled granite. A tall Celtic style cross has a smooth-tooled sword in relief on the front and stands on a pedestal with an inscription panel recording names of the fallen in the Great War. The pedestal stands on two steps on the front of which is another panel with names from the 2nd World War. The whole is surrounded by a granite kerb. The memorial forms part of a very significant group of buildings in Nayland. Listing NGR: TL9749834210 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 13 January 2017.
