Details SE 02NW HEBDEN ROYD C.P. (off) Burnley Road (north side) SE 012260 Mytholmroyd 2/72 War Memorial at SE 012260 50 m to east of the Dusty - Miller Public House G.V. II War Memorial, c.1922. Carved white marble statue of a soldier in battle-dress resting his hands on the barrel of his gun standing on a rock. The base of which has a scroll engraved: "IN COMMEMORATION OF THE GALLANTRY AND SACRIFICE OF THE MEN OF THE MYTHOLMROYD URBAN DISTRICT WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-18" Granite plinth. Stands in a small park in the centre of the village. Listing NGR: SE0127226041 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 31 January 2017.
