Details First World War memorial, 1920, designed by Mr Wykeham Chancellor. MATERIALS: a Latin cross in Portland stone. DESCRIPTION: Moulsham War Memorial is located within the churchyard of the Church of St John the Evangelist (Grade II). The memorial consists of a Portland stone Latin cross on a tapering shaft. The shaft ends in a cushion pad which sits on an octagonal plinth on a two-stepped base. The inscription reads IN MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF MOULSHAM/ WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1919/ (NAMES). It stands in an area of shingle within the churchyard. This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Online. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 27 February 2018.
