Details LEEDS SE33NW HARROGATE ROAD, Moor Allerton 714-1/7/990 (West side) War memorial approximately 50m south of the Church of St John the Evangelist GV II War memorial. 1924. Portland stone. Square base of 3 steps; chamfered plinth with lettering: 'TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE/ FROM MOOR ALLERTON/ WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914-1918/ 1939-1945' and bronze plaque, 2-tier cross base, tapering octagonal cross shaft, plain cross with inset panels. (A Brief History of the Church of St John the Evangelist: 1978-). Listing NGR: SE3071239263 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 31 January 2017.
