Reason for designation: A good example of a War Memorial in a simple Celtic Revival style, which forms the centre-piece of a well-preserved small planned estate. History: Probably erected c1920, and likely to be contemporary with the layout of the small estate of which it forms the focal point. Exterior: Ashlar; Celtic style cross on stepped base. Inscriptions in steps and plinth with a small bronze plaque mounted on the cross shaft. Wheel-head cross inscribed with Celtic interlace decoration. Location: Forms the centre-piece of the small garden village estate at Trelonydd, alongside the main road immediately N of the Presbyterian Church. The Memorial stands in a small chained enclosure backed by a low hedge.
