Details First World War memorial, 1920, with later additions for the Second World War. DESCRIPTION: Kimbolton War Memorial is located on the High Street, just outside of the churchyard of the church of St Andrew (Grade I). The memorial consists of a stone cross on a large plinth of Ketton limestone above a step. There are two incised stone tablets, one on the south face and one on the east, and the inscriptions are painted black. The tablet on the south face reads: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH/ WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ FOR FREEDOM AND RIGHT. 1914-1919 (29 NAMES). The tablet on the east face reads: 1939-1945 (5 NAMES). The memorial is enclosed by a low brick wall and timber fence.
