Category B Date Added 28/08/1980 Supplementary Information Updated 23/07/2024 Local Authority Argyll And Bute Planning Authority Argyll And Bute Parish Kilcalmonell NGR NR 76548 56101 Coordinates 176548, 656101 — 1878: Victorian 'Oriental' Style. Oblong. Stugged ashlar; gabled slate roof. Fantastic pagoda-like wooden belfry with low-pitched roof. Heavy fretworked barge-board. Ornamental timber canopy over door. Round-headed windows with moulded margins. Piended extension at rear. Interior: Open roof with heavy segmental trusses. — Built at expense of Sir William MacKinnon of Ballinakill, Bt. one of chief supporters of Free Church. With his knowledge of the Orient he possibly influenced the style of this church.
