Heritage listing

Details First World War memorial. DESCRIPTION: Kettlestone War Memorial is located in the churchyard to the south-west corner of the Grade II*-listed Church of All Saints, adjacent to the entrance porch. It takes the form of a tall, limestone, Latin cross fleurée rising from a four-sided, tapering plinth. The plinth has a cap which is gabled to each side with a cornice beneath and stands on a moulded foot. The whole surmounts a three-stepped base. The inscription is to the south face of the plinth and reads: FOR/ GOD AND KING/ AND COUNTRY/ TO THE IMMORTAL/ MEMORY OF THE/ MEN OF/ KETTLESTONE/ WHO FELL IN THE/ GREAT WAR. The eight names of those who died (including their date of death) are recorded on the east and west faces of the plinth. All lettering is incised.
