Mid 19th century, simple rectangular single storey church, all rendered rubble. Entrance in extreme left of SW 5-bay elevation; paired windows in SE gable with inscribed datestone between; 2-bay later wing at NE. Lying-pane glazing; slate roof; stone apex finials (one damaged). — Plaque inscribed "In memory of Sir William Sinclair Bart of Dunbeath, Founder and Pastor of this the first Baptist Church in Scotland 1750". Established by Sir William Sinclair of Dunbeath, an ardent Baptist. Chapel listed for historic reasons. Building in ecclesiastical use as such.
