Details ST 95 SW 5/13 BRATTON CHURCH ROAD (south side) Four monuments in the churchyard between 4 and 12 metres south east of Church of St James GV II Four chest tombs. Late C18. Limestone. Two tombs of similar style are to members of Whitaker family; plinths, two shaped panels with rosette spandrels, fielded and fluted pilasters and cornices to moulded flat tops; north one has inscription to William Whitaker died 1771. Unidentified tomb to south has two shield-shaped panels and fielded pilasters with rosettes, cornice to moulded flat top. Tomb to south east has plinth, 2 shaped moulded panels and fielded pilasters to main sides, cornice to moulded flat top, inscription to Beth Flower died 1791.
