Rectangular-plan, simple Gothic-style church. Bull- faced, snecked rubble red sandstone, ashlar dressings, slate roof, decorative terracotta ridge tiles. Base course, deep bracketted eaves, ashlar-coped skews. Large pointed 2-light window with hoodmould at E gable, single pointed windows elsewhere, pedimented gableheads breaking through swept eaves at S elevation. Diagonal buttresses at E gable, decorative finial. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Lourvred cat-slide ventilators. S ELEVATION: large gabled entrance porch at 2nd bay from right, masonry base, timber-framed above, 2-leaf boarded pointed door with flanking windows, windows to left and right returns, half-timbered gable with plain bargeboards; window to recessed bay at right, 3 dormerheaded windows to left; 2 roof ventilators. E GABLE: window to centre with cill course extending to diagonal buttresses. N ELEVATION: 5 symmetrically placed windows; 2 roof ventilators. INTERIOR: not seen. Simple Art-Nouveau stained glass windows to N and S elevation. GATEPIERS AND BOUNDARY WALL: set of gatepiers formed by 1 hemispherical-capped round-section pier, and 1 larger pyramidal-capped round-section pier, each of bull-faced red sandstone; adjoining grey rubble boundary wall.
