Category C Date Added 26/06/1986 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Parish Glencairn NGR NX 78447 90675 Coordinates 278447, 590675 — Built 1843. Partially demolished and roofless shell of former Free Church. Rubble-built, with ashlar dressings. Gothic. Long north wall survives to eaves level with 5 buttressed bays; porch at west gable: south transept near east end; south gable survives, with gabled apex bellcote. — Opened December 1843 as Glencairn Free Church; later Glencairn and Moniaive U.F. Church, & Moniaive Church of Scotland. Partially dismantled circa 1970. Bust of Rev Patrick Borrowman by James Paterson now in Parish Church.
