Details CHIPPERFIELD THE COMMON TL 0401 (East side) 12/67 War Memorial - (on green opposite Two Brewers Inn) GV II War Memorial. Circa 1919, added inscription c.1945. White limestone with red brick panels. Raised on a brick and stone plinth with moulded stone capping, and 2 inscribed stone steps a tall square pillar with moulded stone base and oversailing cap topped with a latin cross on a tall 2-stage moulded base. The brick shaft has a wide stone pilaster in the middle of each face with moulded base and cap. About 5m high overall. Listing NGR: TL0440701618 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 14 March 2017.
