About
Broadhalfpenny Down is a mountain in south east. (Historic cricket ground in Hambledon, Hampshire.) According to Wikipedia: "Broadhalfpenny Down is a historic cricket ground in Hambledon, Hampshire. It is known as the 'Cradle of Cricket' because it was the home venue of the Hambledon Club in the 18th century, although cricket predates both the club and the ground by at least two centuries. The club is located in the parish of Hambledon, close to the neighbouring parish of Clanfield, and took its name from the nearby rural village of Hambledon, approximately 2.7 miles away by road."
