Details TM 26 SW EARL SOHAM 8/29 Bridge 30m - south east of Earl Soham Lodge (including attached walling) GV II Bridge over the moat surrounding Earl Soham Lodge. Probably C16 with some later rebuilding. Red brick, mainly laid in English bond, stone copings; 2 arches, flat parapet. Extending from the bridge to the west around the inside of the moat is a 40m length of red brick walling: C16 or earlier, English bond; about 1m high on the inner side and rising 2.5m above the moat; the section of walling nearest the house incorporates the bases of 2 brick bays, said to be part of an earlier house on the site.
