Details This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 31 July 2024 to correct a typo in the description and to reformat the text to current standards TF3244SE 716-1/7/235 BOSTON WIDE BARGATE War Memorial GV II War Memorial. 1921 by WS Weatherley FRIBA. Portland stone, Hopton stone. A square base on a chamfered plinth bears the names of the fallen in 2 World Wars, on a Hopton stone panel to each face. Surmounted by a lower base to tall square pillar with chamfered angles which is finished with cornice and plain cross. The memorial sits on 3 stone steps with chamfers to the angles, and a small podium with a curved stone seat to each angle, with small obelisk ends. Listing NGR: TF3295144346 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 23 January 2017.
