About
Black Sheep was founded in 1992 by Paul Theakston, a member of the Theakston family, after the original brewery was bought out. Sited 200 metres from Theakston in the same Yorkshire Dales market town of Masham, it shares the famous square Yorkshire fermenters and is now a major employer. Brewery tours, a bistro and a shop run year-round.
