Tilting, wooden plank deck with wooden hand rails and two balance beams set at a raking angle. Brick abutments with concrete sills. Brick wing walls trailing edges and stone rubbing blocks on faces to canal. One of an important series of Oxford canal lift-bridges, of a type now rare in England.
