Details SP43NE ADDERBURY OXFORD CANAL 1/97 Tilting bridge approx. 1.1km N of Nell Bridge Lock (not included) II Canal bridge. Late C18 mostly rebuilt C20. Wooden tilting bridge with inclined counterweight beams is C20. Abutments which splay outwards and diminish, are rebuilt: the western in concrete block; the eastern in blue brick. This tilting bridge, designed by James Brindley, is largely found on the Oxford Canal. Listing NGR: SP4931535320 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
