Details SO 7225-7325 NEWENT CHURCH STREET (north side) 13/122 Astman monument in the churchyard, about 5m south-east of south chancel porch, Church of St. Mary GV II Chest tomb; mid C18; stone. Flat lid, with recessed line around edge, scalloped corners with leaf moulding, whole framing inscription; moulded edge to lid. Sides and ends weathered; similar line and corner treatment visible on west and north faces. Commemorates probably an Astman, died 1755: inscriptions on lid and north face.
