Details NY 52 SW LOWTHER ASKHAM 12/125 Askham Bridge II Road bridge. Dated on parapet stone and inscribed ON SEPTEMBER XVII MDCCCXCVII THIS STONE WAS LAID BY THE COUNTESS OF LONSDALE. Pink sandstone ashlar. Single-span segmental arch with recessed voussoirs, string course and solid parapets with chamfered coping. The abutments have stepped buttresses to support 4 rectangular pedestrian refuges. This lies partly in Askham C.P.
