Details MATERIALS: rough-hewn grey granite. DESCRIPTION: Ashwicken, Bawsey and Leziate War Memorial is located in the churchyard of All Saints’ Church, Church Lane, Ashwicken, Norfolk. It is prominently situated to the right of the church porch. It comprises a wheel-head cross on a plinth with a single-stepped base. It has a smooth face to the front of plinth bearing inscriptions in leaded lettering. The inscription is in leaded lettering and reads: TO THE HONOURED MEMORY/ OF THE MEN FROM THE PARISHES OF/ ASHWICKEN. BAWSEY & LEZIATE/ 1914 – 1918/ (NAMES)/ 1939 – 1945/ (NAME). This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Register. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 22 November 2017.
