RSPB flagship reserves: where to see Britain's birds
From Minsmere's avocets to Bempton's gannets — the country's best bird-watching reserves.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds runs around 200 reserves across the UK. These ten are the flagships — visitor centres, hides, easy paths, and reliably exceptional bird-watching year-round. Spring and autumn migration are the dramatic windows, but winter wildfowl on the East Anglian coast is just as compelling.
