Details NOTTINGHAM SK5639NE CASTLE ROAD 646-1/19/127 (West side (off)) War Memorial sundial, 80m north-east of the Castle Museum GV II War memorial sundial. c1920. Erected by the 17th Bn. Sherwood Foresters. Portland stone. Gothic Revival style. Traceried octagonal column on a stepped octagonal base, approx 1m high. Brass dial and bronze inscribed plaques. Commemorates those killed in both World Wars. Listing NGR: SK5699639541 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 24 January 2017.
