Details KINETON SP3250 BANBURY STREET, Kineton 1901-1/14/238 (South side) War memorial on green E of house next to Lewis the Butcher (Butcher not incl) GV II War memorial. c1920. Ashlar. Square base of 4 steps, the lowest one with rounded nosing, with later inscriptions to dead of World War II; simple plinth has panels with inscriptions to dead of World War I, and ogee-moulded capping forming base of stop-chamfered shaft with egg-and-dart cornice. Head has shield or crest to each face and segmental-arched cornice; ball finial supporting cross. An important feature in the village. Listing NGR: SP3363350982 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 17 January 2017.
