Details CROFT HUNCOTE ROAD SP 59 NW (south west side) 2/18 War Memorial cross and enclosure II War memorial cross and enclosure. c.1920. Granite rubble and ashlar. Moulded hexagonal plinth of 2 steps, carrying a short armed square section cross with a square base. To the east, cast metal panels with the dates 1914-1918 and the names of the dead. Around the cross, a semi-circular paved area, bounded to east by 8 truncated obelisk posts linked by a spiked chain, and on the other sides by a rubble wall. Listing NGR: SP5112795938 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 19 January 2017.
