Details BADGEWORTH BADGEWORTH VILLAGE SO 91 NW 4/9 Two Saine monuments in the church- yard of the Church of Holy Trinity, immediately south of the chancel GV II Pair of chest tombs. a) Chest tomb nearest vestry to Elizabeth (?)Saine. Limestone. Square plan. Sunken inscription panels on all 4 sides. Badly eroded capping with moulded margin. Part of an upper capping stone remains but part has now been replaced with an early C18 headstone. b) Chest tomb c0.5m to the east of the preceding monument. Late C18. Fielded inscription panel with partially legible inscription on the south. Fielded panel with an inscription to Elizabeth, wife of John Saine, died 1773 at the east end.
