Details SALFORD, SD 80 SW, ST GEORGE'S WAY, 949-1/2/91 Tower of Church of St George with St Barnabas (Formerly Listed as: ST GEORGE'S WAY Church of St George with St Barnabas)) 18/01/80 II Tower and spire of now demolished church. 1858. By E H Shellard. Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. Decorated style. 3-stage tower with angle buttresses. 4-light window in west, with quatrefoil tracery. Clock above, and 3-light bell chamber light in stilted arch. Broach spire with lucarnes. Plain moulded arch to former nave to E, and remains of springing of nave arcade.
