Details BIDDULPH C.P. BIDDULPH GRANGE SJ 85 NE SJ 8930 5914 7/13 The Prospect Tower and - steps, Chinese Garden 20.3.74 (formerly listed as the Watch Tower) GV II Ornamental garden building: ruined tower with steps approach. 1848- 1860, by John Bateman. Random coursed stonework, finished to appear ruinous. Built against a steep embankment; of 2 stages and square plan, battered to head of first stage, approximately 5m high. Random spiral of stone steps give access. Forms part of Chinese Garden perambulation, particularly for viewing the Chinese Temple (q.v.) to the west.
