Details The memorial stands on Exchange Flags, alongside Exchange Buildings (Grade II) and in close proximity to the Nelson Monument (Grade II*), the Town Hall (Grade I), and a number of other Grade II-listed features. It comprises the life-sized bronze statue of an infantryman, advancing. He is fully equipped, carrying a rifle and wearing his helmet, uniform and equipage rendered in detail.
