Category B Date Added 27/06/1980 Local Authority Renfrewshire Planning Authority Renfrewshire Burgh Paisley NGR NS 47167 63625 Coordinates 247167, 663625 β Pugin and Pugin architect 1891. Geometrical Decorated Gothic rectangular plan 7-bay nave and buttressed aisles and projecting porch. Apse added 1905. Squared rubble with ashlar dressings. Front: gabled end of nave with 5-light traceried window, with semi-vesica in gable. Angle buttresses 3-light traceried window at west end of north aisle south to right is finialled gabled porch set forward with 2 entrance arches and canopied niche over the statue. 3 cusped lights under segmental headed window at side. Similar window to aisles and clerestory. 3 confessionals added to west aisle. Beyond is apse; rectangular at ground level and semi-octagonal ventilator with spirelet. Interior: octagonal piers arcade. Organ gallery at west with fretted balcony. Elaborate carved stone and marble altar rails, and altarpieces to apse and flanking chapels. 4 niched statues flank apse windows. Couple roof to apse and nave with painted square panels. Modern stained glass.
