Category B Date Added 12/12/1974 Date Removed: 31/10/2023 Local Authority Edinburgh Planning Authority Edinburgh Burgh Edinburgh NGR NT 24864 74741 Coordinates 324864, 674741 Removal Reason This building has been demolished. β John Milne (St Andrews) 1854-56. Early Decorated, 5-bay aisled rectangle with clerestory, stugged coursers (clerestory stuccoed), good gable front with moulded and shafted doorpiece, 3-light window with geometric tracery, corbelled belfry broached to octagonal with spirelet. Iron columned interior with gallery, shouldered lintel arcades, good plaster vault. β Ecclesiastical building in use as such. The halls are also of some interest, cheap brick Italianate of 1845-6, perhaps by Robert Wright who was one of the office bearers.
