Details SEFTON BRIDGES LANE SD 30 SE (south side) 7/133 War memorial opposite St. Helen's Church (q.v.) G.V. II War Memorial. c.1920, but incorporating stone, possibly medieval cross base. Stone. 4 octagonal steps, square cross base and chamfered shaft cross with canopied crucifix. Inscriptions to step risers. Cross base is of different stone from rest of memorial and is more weathered, provenance unknown, but many crosses known to have been in area. Listing NGR: SD3564501243 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 27 February 2018.
