Details NEWTOWN LINFORD JOE MOORE'S LANE SK 51 SW WOODHOUSE EAVES (North Side) 3/35 Roecliffe Manor II House of c 1800, possibly with earlier core. Rendered elevations with Swithland slate roof and truncated ridge stacks. 2 storeys and attic of 8 windows 3:3:2 of 6/6 or 8/8 sashes. Windows have moulded shouldered architraves and stone sills. Sill band and battlemented parapet in part. Front facade has a 2 storey bow either end with 3 sashes both floors to left and 2 to right (lower left French window in part). Central section has stone flat roofed porch with round headed arch, fluted Doric pilasters and frieze over. To either side a French window with 3-light, 2-light and 3-light mullion and transom windows over. Extending from left end an extensive C20 wing. On right side a 3-sided 2 storey central section with 2 and 3-light mullion and transom windows (lower right a French window) and a similar 2-light window either side both floors. Rear facade similar to front with 2 storey bows either end. Sashes and French windows and stone flat roofed central porch with Ionic columns and piers and glazed sides. 3 dormers above and central open octagonal bell lantern with ogee roof.
