Details UPTON PYNE SX 99 NW 3/55 Pynes Bridge - - II Road bridge across the River Creedy. Mid C19. Brick, with granite and Thorverton stone dressing, and granite supporting columns. The upper part of the bridge is of brick, 3 segmental arches, with granite coping to the parapet with granite cabled end piers and a Thorverton stone string course at road level which sweeps down to either side to form the coping of the revetments. Skew arches, the springing to each side marked by a granite string course. The central supports are provided by 2 sets of 4 granite Tuscan columns, each column of each set divided from 1 another by a shallow arch with a cast-iron soffit.
